The Transio A52 is a rugged serial converter designed by Moxa for industrial environments. Its primary job is to bridge the gap between standard PC serial ports (RS-232) and industrial field devices (RS-422 or RS-485).

- Network Capacity: In RS-485 mode, it supports multidrop configurations, allowing one serial port to control up to 32 devices.

- ADDC™ (Automatic Data Direction Control): This is a hardware-level feature that automatically manages the "handshaking" required for RS-485. You don't need to write extra software code to handle the timing of data transmission.
- Isolation & Protection: It features built-in Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) protection to prevent damage from electrical surges on the RS-422/485 lines.
